Looking to start your martial training but suffering from a lack of money or training partners? Besides beginning some Jupiter rituals and hunting social media for martial arts clubs there are some options.
1. Make your own punching bag.
This is not as hard as you would think. It just requires a small investment in finding a strong canvas duffle bag (around 3 feet long or more). From there you can get a length of chain and some hooks and find a place you can hang it (in the garage, from a tree, under the stairs, etc.)
Fill the bag up with old clothes, sand, rubber mulch or similar. Bam, you have a cheapo punching bag to get started with.
(some online guides that are much more articulate then mine!)

2. Using the same idea, create a weighted dummy with arms to wrestle with. This will require some skill with sewing so either learn or find someone who can. Fill your canvas torso with bags of sand/rags/saw dust in bags etc and sew on some arms using rolled cloth. I like to sew workout junk with fishing wire because it's strong and won't tear as easy as thread.
Here's a super complicated guide: www.thelivingexample.com/eljefe.html

Beyond that there are many commercially available ones you can get. They cost some good bank but it's worth it if you have no schools nearby or can't afford tuition. Chop up some fire wood, do odd jobs, whatever. It's all an act of devotion to yourself and to Nuit. See it as such and it won't matter WHAT you have to do to get to training.
Good luck and remember, NO EXCUSES. You got this.
